Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Double Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake recipe with DDW caramel color coloringThis sweet cake, which contains DDW Caramel Color, is definitely for chocolate lovers! It’s delicious by itself, or when served with cream, ice cream or custard. Enjoy!

Ingredients (Kitchen-friendly)
1 package yellow cake mix
1 box (3.5 ounce) vanilla pudding
1 cup milk
1 cup oil
4 eggs
8 ounces grated semi-sweet baker’s chocolate
4 Tbsp D.D. Williamson Caramel Color Powder
1 package (12 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix together the cake mix, pudding, and milk.
  3. Add the oil, eggs, grated chocolate, and D.D. Williamson Caramel Color Powder.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Bake in a greased and floured bunt pan for 50-60 minutes at 350?F.
  6. Enjoy.

Tips:

  • This is a very rich cake and does not need any frosting. However, powdered sugar may be sifted over the top of the cake for top-notch eye appeal.
  • This recipe also makes delicious double chocolate cupcakes
  • If you are opting for a smaller cake size, try two 9-inch layer cakes, baking for 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees F.
  • At the end, sprinkle with powdered sugar for extra sweetness, if desired.
