Oh-So-Good Oven Fried Potatoes

Ingredients (Kitchen-friendly) Ingredients (metric)
6-8 Potatoes, peeled and cubed 6-8 Potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 tsp Salt 12.5 g Salt
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder .50 g Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Onion powder .50 g Onion powder
1/4 tsp Paprika .50 g Paprika
1/4 tsp D.D. Williamson Caramel Color Powder .20 g D.D. Williamson Caramel Color Powder
1/4 tsp Pepper .50 g pepper
Vegetable oil Vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Place potatoes in two resealable plastic bags.
  2. Combine seasonings in a small dish.
  3. Add to the potatoes and shake.
  4. Pour some oil (about 1/4 c) onto a baking pan.
  5. Pour potatoes onto pan.
  6. Bake at 400F for40-50 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

Tips:

  • This recipes works fine if you choose to keep the skins on your potatoes, particularly with the smaller red or white potatoes.
  • The D.D. Williamson Caramel Color Powder gives the potatoes a nice fried appearance despite the fact the potatoes are actually baked.
